What has been fueling me lately?

Ready to teach some Inferno Hot Pilates!

Aside from my desires feeding my internal fire, I’ve been externally fueling up with Pruvit ketones. I was the biggest skeptic about these! I had read articles about how they are not “needed” – well, if that is the case, neither is coffee, but I sure do perform a lot better when I have it. I found that for me and my body, these ketones enhanced the results I was already getting from my ketogenic / low carb lifestyle. The brain clarity and clearing of the mental fog are my favorite aspects, though the appetite suppression is a nice little perk too. I like caffeine, and the charged packs are the perfect pre-workout and fuel for my busiest of days with about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee.

Ketones are a fuel naturally produced by your body after a period of restricted carbohydrates. This is why exogenous ketones are sometimes described as being “unnecessary.” I understand the viewpoint and have done a LOT of research into the ingredients. What it came down to for me was the experience – to try and literally see if my body responded to these or not. I tracked various metrics and found that they increased my energy and helped with motivation. Brutal honesty, I don’t think I’d be doing as many extended fasts without the support of these ketones.

The moral of this little fuel experiment is to keep trying things. If you’re looking for results, answers, or a way to get closer to your goal, keep getting out of your comfort zone and try things until you find what is right for you.
